About holding the event "Field Day 2023" at the base of Farm "Adelaide" in the Zhytomyr branch.
On August 15, a seminar dedicated to the Field Day 2023 was held at our farm in the village of Tupaltsi, Zhytomyr region, on the topic of "Successful potato growing under stressful conditions: varieties, protection, nutrition".
Today we would like to share with you the news about how everything went.
During the seminar, we discussed issues related to the general condition of potato fields in Ukraine.
Our partners from ADAMA gave lectures on the benefits of using plant protection systems and anti-stress protection programs in the field. They spoke in detail about herbicide treatments, the importance of using nutritional products containing trace elements, and more.
The seminar participants received comprehensive information on the Credit Corridor program from USAID AGRO and ADAMA.
In addition, experts from VAN DIJK spoke in detail about the features and benefits of Dutch vegetable storage technologies, particularly potatoes, and how they can be used in our conditions.
And, of course, the event that all the participants were waiting for was a visit to the demonstration field of Adelaide Farm, where the actual results of growing seed potatoes obtained from the well-known European producer AGRICO were presented. The demonstration plots showed a real harvest of 30 bushes of each variety, which can be obtained by following the growing technologies recommended by the seed producer. Also, AGRICO specialists provided comprehensive answers to agrotechnical questions from the seminar participants.
"The Field Day 2023 in Tupaltsi was marked by a friendly atmosphere of like-minded potato growers and a lot of really useful information about agrotechnical technologies that have been tested on a demonstration field and soil typical of the Zhytomyr region. All the participants had the opportunity to see the results of growing seed potatoes on the demonstration plots with their own eyes and ask their questions.
Since the total amount of information related to the seminar is quite large, we will go through each of the seminar's points in more detail in the following publications.
