To increase yields, it is important to buy seed potatoes of the first reproduction or the second reproduction, which is much cheaper. The choice of seed material is a responsible and time-consuming process in growing potatoes. Potatoes of the first and second reproduction allow you to harvest higher and better, because it is less susceptible to viruses and diseases. We recommend updating the seed stock or reproduction of the variety every 3-4 years.

Is it possible to buy superelite seed potatoes in Ukraine?
Often some companies offer to buy seed potatoes of the "superelite" category - this is a myth. There is no superelite of own production in Ukraine, and all superelite is imported from Europe in very limited quantities. As mentioned above, we import such potatoes from the Netherlands and Germany.
Superelite is imported only by specialized farms, which have their own system of royalty payment for further propagation of potatoes. Therefore, to buy seed potatoes of the superelite category is very expensive, and therefore, if someone offers you to buy superelite, you are, to put it mildly, deceived.
